Energy Sinks as a form of Social Control
We all have seen this sorry specimen of a man before, he's “successful” by the lights of the world he is established and respected in a good career; he is married with children and an active churchgoer. Yet despite all of the above or, as we shall see because of the above, he is a hollow shell of a man. He is a soulless, brainless, and spiritless automaton. He never stands up to injustice no matter how petty the affront. He is run down by his superiors at work to work more hours for less pay, he is constantly nagged by his woman at home to split the housework 50/50 and is berated by his pastors for not giving enough to the church or being man enough to protect and provide for his woman. He meekly takes all this and thinks to himself that he is superior to all other men. He plays this game of make-believe with the Banks that he owns his house. As long as he has a mortgage the Bank owns his house and even if his mortgage is paid off he must still pay property taxes. So he gets to pretend that he is better than other men for “owning” a house and when in fact he is a well-paid serf as Moldbug said. You look into his eyes and you see nothing he is a wraith empty and scared unable to even stand up for his rights. He sold his soul to the mega-machine and has traded his innate capacities for the Mordor magic which takes from you and gives to the one he serves. He only really gets animated when either his boss, woman, or pastor nags him enough to go out and spend some energy. When you meet such a man he often is incredulous when you won't do some small petty service for the boss, a woman, or the church elders. He will be quick to say: “But it is only such a little thing!” Yes, a little thing, but a lot of little things can tie you down just as surely as the Lilliputians tied down Gulliver. These Lilliputians of inane meaningless tasks with no return are the sum and substance of the social energy sink that is formed by society to turn men into spiritual geldings impotent to do anything about the world they are living in. What you might ask is an energy sink? And what does this have to do with anything? Read on dear reader.
